About
SEACOAST FOODSCAPES
Our Vision
Empowering Others to "Grow Their Own"
At Seacoast Foodscapes, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to grow their own food. Whether it’s a single raised bed or a full-property transformation with fruit trees, serene outdoor spaces for entertaining, or dedicated areas where children can connect with nature, our mission is to make homegrown food accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding for individuals, families, and communities. By blending ecological landscaping with sustainable food production, we create landscapes that are not only beautiful but also productive, resilient, and nourishing.
By working closely with our clients, we design and build landscapes that support biodiversity, improve soil health, and foster a deeper connection to the food we eat. We believe that when people grow their own food, they cultivate more than just plants—they cultivate independence, knowledge, health, and a more sustainable way of living. Through education, hands-on guidance, and well-designed edible landscapes, we empower you to take control of your food source and enjoy the rewards of harvesting from your own backyard!

Our Story
Local Guys, Passionate About Locally Grown Food
Working alongside his father in the family landscaping business in Haverhill, Massachusetts, Dave developed a passion for plants and gained valuable hands-on skills from an early age. He went on to study Sustainable Landscape Horticulture at the University of Vermont, gaining further experience as an installer for Gardener’s Supply Co. After graduating, he spent 13 years as a winemaker and vineyard manager before returning to his true passion—ecological landscaping and growing food. Dave and his wife, Sarah, live in Newmarket, NH where they hand-built their home nail by nail. They have since cultivated a thriving homestead filled with fruit trees, berries, raised beds, chickens, and a small schoolhouse!
Sam, although he hates to admit it now, was the classic picky eater as a kid. That all changed when he took a job at a plant nursery in high school, where his exposure to gardening grew and his connection to food began to shift. An interest turned into a passion and he went on to earn a BS from the University of New Hampshire in Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems. After graduating, he accepted a job working alongside Dave as a vineyard manager and winemaker for several years before they went on to launch Seacoast Foodscapes together. Today, Sam resides in Newmarket, NH, with his wife, Emily, and their pup, Remi, and spends much of his free time cooking, experimenting in the kitchen, and sharing food!
